It is with great dissapointment that I inform you that 99.9 The Beat is no longer on the air broadcasting a Hip-Hop and R&B format. Since Tuesday December 1st at 3:30pm EST the station has been format stunting with Christmas Music, and a new format is on the way for 2010. The last song played as 99.9 The Beat was Empire State Of Mind by Jay-z and Alicia Keys. At the beginning we hoped 99.9 The Beat would last a long time, however due to increased competition in the Boston market with the Urban format, we were unable to compete well and ratings started to go downhill. I am happy to say I will be sticking around with the station for the new format, however I can not say any more information until the launch.
Check out Christmas 99.9 for all Christmas Music from now until Christmas Day! Everything Christmas 24/7!
A new format is launching for 2010, stay tuned!
